Basic Purpose

This Blog is to try to extend the 2011 symmetry patent of Dr. Dennis Collins. In the patent, the main attempt was to be able to detect basic symmetry transformations such as required for autonomous vehicle engineering. There was a problem getting this patent because they thought it would take thousands of lines of code. However, the patent showed it could be done in only a few lines.

 The MATLAB advertisement in Autonomous Vehicle Engineering magazine of November 2019 says you can do deep learning with "just a few lines" of MATLAB code. However, there are problems in the details, as explained in the editorial by Bill Visnic in the same issue. The blog is to try to help resolve these problems. Thanks for any comments.
